“I’ve never heard so much detail from my Lenco since you fully upgraded it... I can actually count the olives in the vodka martinis at the Village Vanguard!”

“My Lenco L75, modified by Stefan Berghammer from Almere:
I own many 33 RPM LPs but also 45 RPM singles, 78 RPM records, and even 16 RPM LPs from the era when those were common. My old Philips turntable with four speeds failed, so I needed a robust replacement.
I had a lot of good experiences in the past with the famous Lenco turntables, so I started looking for a used one. Unfortunately, I found one with a poorly maintained motor, but luckily a music friend gifted me a motor.
That’s when the idea arose to upgrade the Lenco L75 to a higher level. I replaced the tonearm with an Ortofon AS212, mainly for its universal headshell mount. By a fortunate coincidence, the distance between the pivot and spindle of this arm is exactly the same as the original Lenco arm—212 millimeters.
I then brought the Lenco to Stefan Berghammer in Almere, and he got to work. Stefan installed an Audiosilente idler wheel from Rome, including his own Teflon bearing, and his custom-made central bearing. He also replaced all wiring, including inside the arm, which he carefully reassembled.
He addressed any resonance in the metal parts of the Lenco by applying custom bitumen panels. And not to forget, he thoroughly overhauled the gifted motor.
Stefan has elevated my old Lenco L75 to the top class. He is a remarkable person: a classically trained tenor singer and an exceptionally talented mechanical engineer. And as if that weren’t enough, he is also a very kind person!
Currently, I’m using a Denon DL-60 cartridge. The RIAA preamplifier is self-built based on a design by Australian electronics expert Rod Elliott (Project 06). It features separate op-amps for the low- and high-frequency parts of the RIAA equalization.
The biggest change I notice when listening to LPs is the one that’s hardest to put into words—but I’ll try. All instruments stand apart. It’s much easier to listen to every individual musical contribution separately. Even softly played details remain audible while the rest plays full and clear. At this moment, I’m listening to the guitar solo in 'Fat Old Sun' by Pink Floyd on an original first-press UK vinyl. It truly sounds like individual musicians are playing right in front of me. Everything remains intact, each instrument maintaining its unique role in the whole.
As an analytical listener who also plays classic rock bass guitar, being able to follow individual musical lines is personally very important to me—and that works beautifully, thanks to my magnificent 'Super-Lenco.' Thank you, Stefan!”

“Turntables with these phono cables seem to perform better and better. Airy, spacious, almost nonchalantly relaxed yet very precise and detailed without fuss, balanced and naturally spacious. A very calm, richly sounding machine.”

“Here’s your puck on the Nottingham Analogue Hyperspace. Sounds superb—match made in heaven, especially with more definition, micro-detail, and calmness.”
— Wijnand Kuijt, June 7, 2025
Stefan Berghammer is a turntable builder who, with a great sense of musicality, manages to add something extra to his player every time. I already had a very fine foreign puck that provided more definition and dynamics, but Stefan’s beautifully designed puck subtly takes it a step further. Once again, a clearly audible improvement—the kind every audiophile longs for. Sonny Rollins now plays even tighter, more spaciously, and with greater detail. What else does he have in store? Be sure to keep an eye on Stefan and BJA!

“I often listen to vinyl on the Lenco Jac (it’s so incredibly solid): it’s not just a turntable—it’s a love letter to music on vinyl. You don’t just listen—you completely immerse yourself! Your mod upgrades are truly fantastic!!”

“Fantastic cables! Beautifully smooth sound, transparent, detailed! Thanks! I’m very happy with them!”
“Hi Stefan,
The cables arrived and are connected.
I’m genuinely amazed by the sound.
More detail, spaciousness, deeper bass, very musical, truly fantastic!
And what beautiful connectors for my amplifier! Finally, something that really works!
They really perform very well—I’m happy!”
“Just reconnected everything with your cables and noticed: Better bass control and lovely highs!
I’m using a Marantz PM15S1 (completely re-soldered and checked) with a Bluesound Vault (2TB music drive) via the DAC of the Marantz SA15S2 connected to the amplifier and your speaker cables on Mordaunt Short MS908i.”
“My vintage audio setup has grown over the years into something I truly make time for. Not to quickly test something, but to listen. The Marantz 2215B and 2226B, together with the Superscope R1220, form the heart of my system. This is equipment that invites you to sit back, relax, and let the music do its work.
On the source side, my Lenco turntables play a major role. The Lenco B52, L75, and L76 have all been fully modified by BJA High End Turntables. The L76 has received a SuperMod and is fitted with a Denon DL-110 cartridge. You hear that immediately in the calmness and stability of the sound. Especially with music that relies on groove and subtlety—such as nu-jazz by St. Germain or refined deep house—everything remains fluid, rhythmic, and above all relaxed. No sharp edges, no restlessness, just a natural flow that easily keeps you listening all evening.
My speakers, the B&W DM5 and DM3 together with the Celestion Ditton 15XR, perfectly match this way of listening. They don’t push themselves forward but let the music breathe. Bass lines stay controlled, details emerge naturally, and the whole remains consistently musical. That’s something I particularly appreciate with electronic music: it can be deep and layered, but it should never become fatiguing.
Within this carefully built system, the interconnect and Silent-Air speaker cables turn out not to be a minor detail, but a real addition. Everything was already well balanced, and yet these cables audibly bring more coherence. The stereo image becomes calmer and wider, the midrange gains more air and placement, and the low end feels tighter without losing its warmth.
What stands out most to me is that I keep listening longer. Not because it sounds more spectacular, but because it feels more natural. For me, vintage audio is about experience—about the moment the needle touches the groove, a track slowly builds, and you realize you’re no longer focused on the system, only on the music. In that context, these cables truly make a difference. They allow my system to do what it does best: deliver music with flow, character, and calm.
As I would sum it up: if after hours of listening you feel no urge at all to turn the volume down, then it’s right. And that is exactly what these cables add for me.”

“Hi Stefan,
Here’s my experience with the interlink.
My interest in this previously unknown interlink was sparked by reviews, especially that it outperforms much more expensive models. Also, the fact that an enthusiastic Dutch hobbyist brought this product to market after a year of testing intrigued me. For the price, I thought it could be interesting, so I sent a message. Stefan replied very kindly and quickly, and a few days later the package arrived neatly in the mailbox.
Opened the package and wow - beautifully made interlinks with yellow markings to connect to the source.
Out went my Audioquest Diamond optical cable and in came this new acquisition.
The connectors fit snugly.
The first notes came alive... no way... they’re not broken in yet...
I had to sit down with a cup of coffee for this...
The AQ Diamond or a top Chord cable have always satisfied me, but I can’t believe this...
What does this S.A.S do better than those interlinks:
More dynamic.
Soundstage clearly in front of the speakers.
Vocals much clearer.
Many more details.
High frequencies sparkling with absolutely no harshness.
Midrange with clearly more depth.
Bass - oh boy, my Dynaudio 600xd can deliver bass. I do use a power filter and good power cables.
Much more air between instruments.
Very neutral.
After roughly 80 hours of listening, they keep improving in micro-details and spatial placement.
I’m amazed and confused - how is this possible!
Absolute class and enjoyment as music should sound.
In short, I’m very surprised and will soon purchase another set.
Highly recommended - a no-brainer!
My setup:
Dynaudio 600xd
Cambridge CXN v2 network player
Audioquest power filters
Power cables from a Dutch brand.”
“Ridiculously good cable! I compared it with a Nirvana SL at €1200... the S.A.S is really better. Especially the realism, spatial reproduction, and dynamic qualities are amazing.
The cable does justice to all instruments in the overall soundstage, something I rarely heard before. Placement is incredibly precise. I’m truly ecstatic about what you’ve created!”
“Stefan, such perfectly finished cables. You really have an eye and ear for detail. I could compare well because I gradually added one cable at a time in my chain. Now that I’ve extensively listened in my tube mono setup, the sum just doesn’t add up:
1 interlink from turntable to preamp + 1 interlink from preamp to power amp + 1 speaker cable = 100x more music!
Unbelievable how the mono records suddenly come to life. So much more air and space, precision and detail. Furtwängler, Rollins, and The Beatles: everything now sounds thanks to your cables exactly as I hoped when I started this mono project!”
“Fantastic cables! Beautifully smooth sound, transparent, detailed! Thanks! I’m very happy!”
“Hi Stefan,
My second impression is still very positive. I think I’ll order one or two more sets soon!
I have a set of Monitor Audio Gold 20s connected to a Meridian preamp and Cambridge Audio power amp. With the Van den Hul interlink, the very high treble was somewhat irritating on some recordings, but that’s no longer the case! All cymbals, etc. now sound silky soft instead of metallic. Very nice, thank you!”
“Stefan, thanks!
I received the cable and connected it—what an improvement in sound!
I’m very curious; my wife and I are currently listening to 'Flamma Flamma' by Nicholas Lens, one of our favorite CDs, and we’re very impressed by the detail, as if new layers of the music are surfacing.
Very impressive!”
“Just wanted to let you know that I’m very happy with these interlinks—they sound very beautiful and have certainly become more 'open' over time. At first, I had my doubts, but now I wouldn’t want to be without them.”
“I had a reasonably good cable before, so I tested an excellent Billie Holiday recording first with my old cable and then with your cable.
It was exciting.
Sure enough, I hear a difference. Tighter, quieter, more intimate. More live and more soundstage.
This isn’t just mental; it’s truly an auditory improvement.
I will continue breaking in the interlink for now, and it can only get better.
This is a great upgrade, and I don’t think any other cable can improve on this.
Silver core, return, twisted in an airy silicone tube, secured with tape, shielded, and finished—this makes a superior interlink, I conclude. I don’t need a Kimber cable for this. That would hardly make a noticeable difference compared to your cable.
So far my findings.”
“Audibly, I perceive more musical control in the highs, mids, and lows. The bass has become deeper and more controlled.
The entire musical spectrum feels much more live and involves you more with the music—even though the equipment remains the same.
I never thought a cable with a silver core could achieve this, but it’s true and almost magically surprising.
Out of curiosity, I wanted to test this interlink and am very glad I took the plunge.
A superb upgrade!”
