High-quality Lenco modifications for optimal sound performance
You’ve come to the right place for exclusive high-end modifications for Lenco models L70, L75, L76, L76s, L78, L88 — and now also for the B52 and B55.
These technical upgrades deliver a noticeable improvement in sound quality thanks to reduced friction, greater clarity, and enhanced stability.
The modifications are known as the TJN-mod and Lenco bearing mod. I have further developed these concepts by incorporating my own ideas and refinements to achieve even better results.
Replacement of the idler wheel spring with a stainless steel weight
(Known as the TJN-mod) - This provides a more stable rotation and reduces vibrations.
Central bearing modification (Lenco bearing mod):
Removal of the original thrust plate and Seeger ring
Replacement with a PEEK thrust plate and a silicon nitride ball (instead of the standard 5 mm steel ball) - suitable for “double platter” setups!
Mounted on a 1 mm silicone pad, fully sealed with a 5 mm aluminum plate and flange - ideal for “double stacked” applications
The bearing is fully oil-filled, resulting in extremely low friction and outstanding stability
Stabilization ring on top of the central bearing
Made from a heavy-duty metal ring for extra strength and precise guidance
Bitumen damping on chassis and platter
Reduces resonances and ensures a cleaner sound reproduction
Damping of the idler wheel shaft with Teflon tape
Further reduces mechanical noise and vibrations
